Eminence Sterling Club Anambra and Diaspora Inaugurated

A group of men of goodwill and like minds have formed a brotherhood under the umbrella of Eminence Sterling Club Anambra and Diaspora, ESCAD as an intercontinental association.

The circle of friends initiated from the Umuchu ‘Class of ’24 Chiefs’ was inaugurated as a Club, with the motto: “The Pinnacle of Brotherhood”.

According to their founding President, Double Chief Oliver Asiegbu, popularly known as Ogaranya n’Umuchu, the club whose members were drawn from the various continents of the world came alive after one year of their installation as Cabinet Chiefs of Umuchu with the aim of being their brothers’ keeper and to promote the betterment of Umuchu Community, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State and Nigeria at large.

Continuing, Chief Asiegbu noted that solidarity, togetherness, love, and partnership will be their guiding principle, adding that the club is open to membership for good spirited individuals.

The ESCAD Secretary, Chief Dr. Chike Ezeoke, in a welcome address, described ESCAD as a child of necessity which has made significant marks in enhancing the security system in Umuchu since they started in December 2024 by providing two SUV Sienna buses for Community’s Vigilante operations, assuring that the club will be consolidated in the years ahead.

The President General, Umuchu Improvement Union Representative Assembly, UIURA, Hon. Ifeanyi Emegwa extolled the 2024 Class of Chiefs in Umuchu for their prompt intervention to the security needs of the community with regards to the mobility of their Vigilante operations by the provision of two SUV Sienna buses when the old ones were burnt by Hoodlums, urging them to continue to support Umuchu in other sectors.

In a remark, the Chairman, Supreme Council of Nze na Ozo Umuchu, Chief Nze Chinedu Ezeoha congratulated members of ESCAD for their successful inauguration and wished them a resounding success in all their endeavours.

The pioneer executive officers of the club are: High Chief Oliver Asiegbu- President; High Chief Chinedu Ezekwo: Vice President; High Chief Chike Ezeoke: Secretary; High Chief Ebuka Ifeacho: Financial Secretary; High Chief Uchenna Agazie:
Treasurer; High Chief Gabriel Nwamma: Publicity Secretary; and High Chief Okwudiri Umeodinka: Provost. They expressed joy that their vision of coming together as brothers has become a reality.

The event was graced by the traditional ruler of Amesi, HRH, Igwe Raphael Okpaleke Obi, Obi Akalabo of Amesi, and the Isi Obi Achalla, Chief Dr Emmanuel Nnopu; and the former PG of Umuchu, Chief Sir Charles Ezenwabasili; among other dignitaries.
