Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council, has been urged to send in their entries for the Prof. Chinyere Stella Okunna Award for Ethical Journalism.
In a release by comrade Chigozie Chukwuleta, secretary to the committee, stated that entries are open to only registered members of the NUJ, Anambra State Council.
According to the release, it is an award endowed by foremost communication scholar and journalism educator, Prof. Chinyere Okunna, to promote journalism in the best ethical tradition. Interested entrants should note the following:
Entries are open to only registered members of the NUJ, Anambra State Council and can be made in any of the four categories: print, radio, television and online media.
Entries should come by way of paper copies (for print and online media) and compact disc recordings (for radio and TV) of a report being entered. Radio and TV reports may also be accompanied by a written version where applicable.
Only reports published or broadcast in 2022 will be eligible for entry and should be produced in 4 copies and sealed alongside a cover letter in an envelope marked “Prof Okunna Award” with the name of the entrant written on the reverse side of the envelope and then sent to the Secretary, Prof. Chinyere Stella Okunna Award for Ethical Journalism Committee.
Entry closes at 4pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 with only maximum of two entries can be received from a single entrant.
