Determined to decisively address the recent security challenges in Enugu State, especially in Eha Amufu, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and heads of security agencies in the state, on Friday, met behind closed doors at the Government House, Enugu.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ammani, disclosed that they “deliberated on general security and the happenings in the state.”
CP Ammani added that measures have been “put in place to ensure peace and stability in all the communities without any problem during and after the yuletide.” He assured residents of Enugu State and people coming home for the Christmas celebration of the commitment of the state government and security agencies to ensure their safety during and after the festive season, stressing the state is safe and peaceful. He therefore urged residents of the state to embrace peace and live in harmony with one another, reassuring them that the measures taken at the meeting will address the security challenges in the state decisively.
