The Federal Government has announced that 300 National Youth Service Corps members will be attached to Compressed Natural Gas centres across the country after completing specialised training.
The initiative aims to support the ongoing transition to CNG as an alternative fuel and boost operational capacity at the facilities.
Officials said the selected corps members will undergo training focused on the technical and operational aspects of CNG distribution and safety before deployment.
The programme forms part of broader efforts to promote cleaner energy options and create employment opportunities for young graduates during their service year.
Further details on the timeline and specific locations for the attachments are expected to be released by the relevant ministries.
