Foundation Distributes Food Items, Gifts To Widows In Anambra

The Founder Chi Brown International Foundation, Ugosimba Chioma Brown Okafor has encouraged widows to always rely on God for their needs in hard times saying that human beings can fail anyone who puts her trust in them.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
Lady Okafor gave the advise at Awkaetiti, Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State, during her 2026 Widow’s Outreach where she distributed food items, clothes and gifts worth millions of naira to over 300 widows courtesy of Chi Brown International Foundation.

According to Okafor, this widows outreach began about 9 years ago.

“I am following the vision God gave me, I got the ministration thrice while reading the Bible. The Book of James 1 vs 27 says: pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is to visit the fartherless and Widows in their afflictions.

“When you give to the widows, you are lending unto God. This is the heartbeat of God and I am very happy and privileged to be part of this vision to put smiles on the faces of less privileged widows who are wives of the Lord.

“I started this vision with about 25 widows but today the number have increased to over 300. I am glad I am giving to people who cannot give back to me, spreading love to the unlovable. I pray that all these widows should focus on God, not men who can fail you at any time. God is faithful, at those times they do not know what to do, they should just rely on God who is their husband, God would always come through for them.

“I appreciate God who gave me a lot of vision helpers. Sometimes, when I get overwhelmed because of the economic situation of the country they will always call me assuring me that they are ready to contribute their quota without me persuading them,” said Ugosimba Okafor.

Some of the beneficiaries, Mrs Ifeyinwa Ezeh, Mrs Adaora Akanebom, Mrs Ngozi Ufele, and Mrs Benedeth Igboanugo eulogized Ugosimba Chioma Brown Okafor for remembering and reaching out to widows every 2nd of January.

“Ugosimba is a mother indeed, a woman with a heart of gold. This is a covenant she has with God. Every year, on January 2nd she would take all of us to St Joseph Catholic Church, Awkaetiti for a special thanksgiving and spiritual renewal. Lady Chioma Brown Okafor who is the outgoing Awkaetiti Community Women Leader will sponsor a party for us, feed us, dance with us and give us varieties of gifts for take home.

” We received wrappers, Noodles, bags of rice, tomato, salt, soap, biscuits, and many other gifts.

“May God continue to bless and keep Ugosimba Chioma Brown Okafor for us. May God grant her heart desires for making us happy in this present economy,”” they said.
