FRSC Arraigns 36 Traffic Offenders In Anambra

As part of sustained efforts to mitigate road traffic crashes and in line with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) corporate strategic goal of achieving a 10 percent reduction in road traffic crashes, the RS 5.33 Nteje Unit Command on Thursday, 12th March, 2026 organized a Mobile Court sitting within its area of jurisdiction.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that during the enforcement operation, a total of 36 traffic offenders were arrested and prosecuted for various traffic violations.

The Mobile Court session which was presided over by Her Worship, Maria N. Anyanbolu, at the end of the proceedings, convicted 30 offenders, while 6 were discharged. No offender was sentenced to imprisonment..

The offences recorded during the exercise include; seat belt use Violation (SUV), Speed limiting Device violation (SLD) and Light sign violation (LSV).

During court session, out the thirty six (36) traffic offenders, Four (4) were arraigned before the magistrate for attempting to corrupt FRSC men on duty and they were convicted, to buttress FRSC zero tolerance to corruption.

A total of 77 traffic offences were recorded from the 36 offenders arraigned.

Speaking, the Unit Commander, Chief Route Commander, Uche Job reiterated the command’s commitment to strict enforcement of traffic regulations and urged motorists to comply with road safety rules in order to ensure safer roads for all.

ANN gathered that offences recorded includes: Seat belt Use Violation (12), Light Sign Violation (10), Speed Limiting Device Violation (11), Failure to Move Over (06), Passengers Manifest Violation (01), Attempting to Corrupt Marshal on duty (04), Number Plate Violation (04), Drivers Licence Violation (04), Fire Extinguisher Violation (02), worn out tyre violation (03), Vehicle Licence Violation (03), Dangerous Driving (01), Vehicle Windshield Violation (01), Obstructing Marshal on Duty (01), Overloading (09), Projected Load violation (02), Caution Sign Violation (01), Failure to Fix red Flag (01), and Expired tyre / Without spare Tyre (01).

Men of the Nigeria Police Force were on the ground to provide adequate security throughout the exercise, which was conducted peacefully and ended without any hitches.
