Gbajabiamila Appears Before Anti-graft Agency in Probe of Fake PFIPC

Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila on Monday honoured an invitation from the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission to provide testimony in an ongoing investigation into a suspected fake agency known as “PFIPC.”

Gbajabiamila’s counsel Jiti Ogunye confirmed the appearance in a statement. “Acting as directed by the President of Nigeria, I hereby confirm that my client, Femi Gbajabiamila, responded to the invitation of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission and appeared at about 15:00hrs on Monday, July 20, 2026,” Ogunye said.

The lawyer added that his client “gave his testimony, responded to questions accordingly, and has returned to his duty post,” describing the engagement as full cooperation with the ICPC.

The development forms part of broader probes into the activities of the alleged fake agency. Gbajabiamila’s team emphasised compliance with the summons as part of efforts to support the investigation.
