Fanwo alleged that the attackers were loyal to Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, the former Deputy Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC). Ajaka is currently the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the upcoming November 11th governorship election in Kogi State.
