The 65th Grammy Awards, which have been eagerly anticipated, have finally arrived.
The event will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles later in the day.
Here are some things you should be aware of before the award presentation.
The comedian and TV personality from South Africa, Trevor Noah, will serve as the host of the award ceremony this year.
This will be Noah’s third consecutive year hosting the ceremony.
The main award presentation is slated to start at 2 am Nigerian time, or 20:00 in LA (1:00 GMT).
The American commercial broadcast television and radio network CBS will carry the award ceremony live.
Audiences can stream the event on Paramount Plus as well as Grammys’ website.

Today’s award ceremony will feature Nigerian artistes who had a stellar year in 2022.
Burna Boy is up in the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category again for ‘Love, Damini’, his latest project, while ‘Last Last’, his hit song, also bagged a nomination in the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ category.
This is the third time the ‘African Giant’ crooner will be nominated for the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category at the Grammys. Last year, he won the category. This was after he lost out to Angelique Kidjo in 2020.
Tems is another Nigerian seeking to make history.
The ‘Damages’ singer is nominated in the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ and ‘Best Rap Song’ categories. Her nominations followed her role in ‘Wait for U’, the hit song by Future featuring Drake.
Beyonce is on course to make history at the 65th Grammys. The music star leads this year’s nominations with nine entries.
The singer already had a total of 28 Grammy awards to her name.
With four wins tonight, she will surpass Georg Solti, the Hungarian-British singer, as the artiste with the most Grammy Awards wins in history.
Solti, who passed away in 1997, snagged a total of 31 Grammy gongs.
Tobe Nwigwe, the American rapper and actor of Nigerian descent, is up for the ‘Best New Artiste’ category.
Ambrose Akinmusire, the American avant-garde jazz composer who is also of Nigerian descent, is nominated for the ‘Best Improvised Jazz Solo’ category.
