Happiness of a home lies in the hands of the man, says Junior Pope

Pope Odonwodo, better known as Junior Pope in the Nollywood industry, has counselled couples against continuing their marriages with abusive partners.

Odonwodo made this comments via his Instagram page on Monday stating that the happiness in the home “lies in the hands of the man.”

Pope wrote in the article that while spouses in a marriage should always strive to resolve disagreements amicably, they should leave at the first indication of domestic violence.

“Know it that two persons raised from different backgrounds and environs coming together to live as ONE, is one of the most difficult things in life,” he wrote.

“In my eight years in marriage, I would say that the HAPPINESS of a home lies in the hands of the man. Uneasy they say is the head that wears the crown.”

He also decried the idea of couples bringing their marital issues to social media, where solution is rarely found.

“Women also should do better, small misunderstanding like this una don run come social media (I don’t think anyone has ever found a solution to their marital problems here).

“Well if you are determined to make your marriage work; it will work. Having said that; domestic violence is a no no for me. Walk away the moment he/she puts a finger on you.”

Pope’s comment follow an explosive social posts by Korth Adeleke, where she accused her husband, Adeshina alias Sina Rambo, of domestic violence.

She said that Adeshina, the son of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, had neglected her even after she had to have a caesarian section earlier this year to give birth to their daughter.

Sharing images, videos, and chats, Korth claimed that Rambo had repeatedly abused her during their marriage.
