The palace of the traditional ruler of Isseke community in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, Igwe Emmanuel Nnabuife has been burnt down by hoodlums.
Isseke is a boarder community, which shares boundaries with Imo state but because of constant gunmen attact, some traditional rulers in Ihiala local government area live outside their domains because of insecurity.
Angel Network News reports that the traditional ruler of Isseke who confirmed the incident to Journalists lamented that the entire palace was burnt down by the unidentified hoodlums.
According to Igwe Nnabuife “It is true that my palace was burnt down by these boys and I have lost everything that I laboured all my life to achieve and as it is now I am homeless.
” I had no problem with anyone in my community to warrant such attack.
“But I thank God that no life was lost and nobody was harmed by those boys, and this is the way it in my town Isseke,” he said.
Meanwhile, the commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Aderemi Adeoye has confirmed the incident.
The CP who spoke on telephone said the situation in the area has been brought under control, and personnel of the command have been sent on the trail of the attackers. He said investigations were on.
