The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon.(Mrs) Amaka Obi on Saturday June 17 embarked on phase 4 of Sustainable, Clean and Green Program (CGP) which started from the local government secretariat Ojoto, down to all the seven communities in Idemili South.
Clearing of canal and drainages were also carried out and council boss enjoined the good people of Anambra State to join hands with the state government by contributing their own quota of proper waste disposal.
Hon. Obi while speaking with reporters after the program stated that when environment is clean, the people becomes guaranteed of good health. She maintained that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is making the state the cynosure of all eyes in terms cleanliness in the country.
“It is not just enough for one to look good, it is also important that the environment is given necessary attention to prevent outbreak of diseases which could be injurious to the health of those living there”.
