The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi said the reason she built borehole and toilet at Eke Awka-Etiti is to make traders have access to clean water and prevent waterborne diseases.
In her speech, Hon. Obi maintained that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration is committed to providing safe and reliable water for all, stating that the borehole project will make a positive difference for the traders.

Hon. Patrick Aghamba while commissioning the project commended the mayor of Idemili south for the initiative.
Aghamba stated that it was inline with Governor Charles Soludo’s agenda of sustainable, clean and liveable homeland, adding that the facilities will reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases in the market.
In their separate remarks, the Anambra State APGA Chairman, Chief Sir Ifeatu Obi-Okoye and Barrister Joe-Martins Uzodike praised Hon. Amaka Obi for the projects urging the beneficiaries to make good use of the facilities.
ANN reports that the commissioning ceremony was attended by HRM Igwe Okadigbo ably represented by former Commissioner for Information, Chief Barrister Joe-Martins Uzodike, President General of Awka-Etiti, Chief Izundu Adigwe ably represented, Women Wing of Awka-Etiti, Youth Wing, community leaders and other stakeholders.
