Idemili South Mayor Commissions Solar-Powered Borehole In Awka-Etiti

The Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Amaka Obi has commissioned a potable borehole water project at Iruowelle village, Awka-Etiti.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Obi said, the solar-powered borehole water, was the idea of the past Iruowelle Chairman, Chief Nwokeike.

The Mayor applauded him for his selfless service to the people and humanity at large, adding that he has done a lot not only for the people in the village but also for the community.

The local government boss maintained that the project is in line with the commitment of her administration to the provision of essential infrastructure and improvement of living standards at the grassroots

While congratulating the newly elected Chairman of Iruowelle village, Chief Samuel Mbonu, she urged him to lead with love, humility and fear of God and also, prayed for his successful tenure.

Commissioning the borehole water project, Chief Nwokeike highlighted the achievements of Hon. Amaka Obi in the council area. He added that Awka-Etiti will continue to support her administration and Governor Charles Soludo.

Angel Network News (ANN) recalled that barely two months, Hon. Amaka Obi commissioned Doctors/Nurses quarter and renovated four classrooms block at Umunocha and Nnokwa.
