The local government Chairman of Idemili South, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi, has distributed school bags donated by Hamilton and Thelma Ezeonu Foundation to students of St. Joseph’s Seminary School, Awka-Etiti.
Speaking at the event, Obi said the
gesture aimed at supporting education and easing learning conditions for young scholars.
The mayor commended the foundation for its commitment to educational support, noting that such collaborations remain vital to improving access to quality education and promoting shared responsibility for community growth.
To encourage the students especially the indigent ones, Hon. Amaka Obi, promised to take care of WAEC fee for every indigent student in the school and also to pay JAMB fee for 50 persons urging them to make Idemili South and Anambra state proud.
The Leader, Idemili South Legislative Council, Rt Hon. Ernest Ezeunyim, the Deputy Leader, Hon. Valentine Mbadugha, the HOD Education, Idemili South Comrade Nnamdi Nweke, joined the visit.
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that the presentation forms part of ongoing initiatives championed by the Idemili South LGA under its PPCP framework.
PPCP initiated by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, brings together government, private organizations, and the community to advance social development.
