Katsina Deputy Governor Mannir Yakubu, who recently declared his intention to contest the governorship seat, has described himself as the most qualified to succeed Governor Aminu Bello Masari
Yakubu, who spoke with newsmen on Saturday in katsina, assured if elected he will ensure adherence to moral and ethical standards as well as embrace integrity, competence and hard work in governance.
He said: “Having worked as the Deputy Governor harmoniously with His Excellency, Aminu Bello Masari, the Governor of Katsina State, for the last seven years, I believe I am eminently qualified for this exalted position.
“We will ensure adherence to moral and ethical standards as well as rely on integrity, competence and hard work in governance. With these principles, the good people of Katsina State will find me a dependable ally”.
The Deputy Governor said his ambition is to further uplift the living standard of people from the prevailing global economic downturn that has impacted negatively on citizens.
He said his administration will promote continuity of the restoration agenda of Masari, adding that it will focus on six pillars of education, agriculture, health, trade and MSME development, security and social reforms.
