Governor Chukwuma Soludo has meet with Traditional Rulers, Presidents General, Transition Committee Chairmen and Service Chiefs of different security agencies in the state.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Soludo while speaking to journalists shortly after the closed door meeting held at the International Convention Centre, Awka on Thursday, revealed that security issues and the forthcoming local government elections, topped discussions.
Soludo noted that even though Anambra is alot safer, the meeting was to discuss what he termed systemic insecurity in the state and how his administration will continue to respond and improve on the situation.
The Governor stressed that the meeting was part of the regular interactive session with the leaders of Anambra communities, pointing out that it was to get them briefed and fully informed, as well as mobilize them to participate to ensure a credible election.
He assured that his administration will continue to make efforts to improve on the security situation in the state.
