President Muhammadu Buhari is currently holding a closed-door meeting with the governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The governors, operating under the aegis of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), were led to the meeting by their Chairman, who is the Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu.
They arrive at the Presidential Villa after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting earlier chaired by the President.
Daily Trust learnt that the meeting was convened towards reaching a consensus ahead of Saturday’s National Convention of the ruling party, following signs of disagreements among party stakeholders over the choice of personalities purportedly endorsed by the President.
