Kane Confirms He Have Found Permanent German Home Following €100m Bayern Transfer, Opens Up On Struggles of Moving Abroad

Harry Kane has confirmed he has finally found a new home in Munich but admits life at Bayern hasn’t been all plain sailing since his summer transfer.

Kane was back in England on Tuesday as Bayern Munich concluded their group-stage Champions League campaign with a 1-0 win over Manchester United. The ex-Tottenham man continued his good form for his new team with an assist for the only goal of the game scored by Kingsley Coman. Kane has made a stellar start to life with the Bavarian giants but admitted afterwards he has found some aspects of his transfer to Germany difficult to handle.

Kane told TNT Sports after the win over United: “It’s been difficult. It was my first move in my career so I probably didn’t realise what went into it. Not only the new team, but the personal, the family – I’ve got four kids. So thankfully we’ve found a house now, we’ll be looking to move in after the winter break. The only problem is, if I stop scoring when they come, I might have to send them back!

“[The most difficult thing is] All the stuff outside you have to sort out. From work permit, to finding houses and school. I try to do as much as I can but I’ve got good people and family around me. Overall, I’m just enjoying the new experience. Playing in new stadiums with different fans it’s given me real excitement.”

Kane has been living in a hotel in Munich and running up a sizeable tab since his switch from Tottenham. However, he’s now set to move into an impressive villa previously owned by Lucas Hernandez with his family. He will also have some rare time off with the Bundesliga set to pause for a winter break after the fixtures scheduled for the 19-20th December. Bayern will be hoping that a fully-settled Kane can continue his impressive goalscoring exploits when the league restarts on January 12.

Kane is the first player in the big five European leagues to reach 30 goal involvements in all competitions this season. He has 22 goals and eights assists for Bayern so far this season.

Bayern go through to the last 16 of the Champions League as group winners and will be hoping that with Kane in the team they can go far in the tournament. Tuchel’s side now return to Bundesliga action against Stuttgart on Sunday, aiming to bounce back from a shock 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt last time out.
