Nollywood actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo has publicly forecasted that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will win the 2027 general elections, citing widespread disillusionment with the ruling parties.
Speaking to journalists this weekend, Okonkwo argued that the ADC’s policies, when contrasted with what he describes as corruption and broken promises by the incumbents, are resonating increasingly with ordinary Nigerians. He believes this trend will carry the ADC into power come 2027.
Okonkwo also appealed to young voters and first-time electors to register and participate, saying their votes are crucial in shaping Nigeria’s future and that change depends on active engagement rather than passive hope.
