LaLiga: Real Madrid Ease to 4-0 Win Over Malaga to Stay Perfect

Real Madrid maintained their flawless start to the LaLiga season with a dominant 4-0 victory over newly promoted Malaga on Sunday, scoring three times inside the opening half-hour at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Jude Bellingham opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a superb solo effort, collecting a loose ball near the edge of the area, gliding past three defenders and firing low beneath goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero.

Seven minutes later Malaga doubled the deficit when Herrero could only palm away a Kylian Mbappe shot. Bellingham headed the rebound towards goal and, as the goalkeeper collided with a teammate while attempting to clear, the ball ended up in the net for an own goal.

Mbappe made it 3-0 in the 30th minute, meeting Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross with a sharp volley from the centre of the box.

Substitute Arda Guler completed the scoring in added time, starting and finishing a slick move by feeding Vinicius Junior before tapping in the Brazilian’s return pass.

The result lifted Real Madrid to nine points from three matches, two clear of Atletico Madrid and Alaves. Barcelona sit fourth on six points with a game in hand and host Rayo Vallecano on Monday.

Coach Jose Mourinho made five changes from the side that started the previous two league matches, handing Marc Cucurella his first start for the club. Alexander-Arnold, preferred at right-back to Denzel Dumfries, almost scored inside the opening minute with an angled effort that curled just wide.

Malaga threatened briefly in the 15th minute when Joaquin Munoz drove a shot narrowly past the top corner, but the visitors’ resistance collapsed thereafter. Bellingham struck the post in the 55th minute as Real controlled the second half.

Real Madrid next travel to face Real Betis on Friday before beginning their Champions League campaign at home against Inter Milan.
