The former Chief Whip of Anambra state house of assembly Rt. Hon. Lawrence Ezeudu said his greatest achievement as a lawmaker is making rotational representation, a convention in Dunukofia and that every community is being giving chance to represent.
Ezeudu who represented Dunukofia constituency at the 6th and 7th Anambra assembly while speaking with reporters at his residence in Ifitedunu, revealed that he made sure all the six communities are represented.
The former lawmaker who is a Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) said his constituents benefited from all sector of social-economic existence and that he was able to solve many political challenges confronting the people of his constituency during his eight years of representation.
He called on the newly inaugurated members of the State 8th Assembly to operate an open-door policy to all regardless of party placement.
According to him, “My representation then was not for any material gain, but to serve my people. I listen to them anytime and any day. I unite my people politically. I was able to settle leadership crises in all the communities that formed the Constituency. It is a great feat.”
“Let me assure my people that my successor, Hon. Chuks Azotani’s representation in the 8th State Assembly, will be a qualitative and uncommon one.
“I want to sincerely appreciate the people of Dunukofia Constituency, for this high level of support and for reposing such confidence.”
“I can assure you that the next lawmaker will be from Umudioka. There will be no contest. Everybody feels that sence of belonging.
Speaking on his achievement, Ezeudu revealed that every child attending community seconday school in Dunukofia knows that his WAEC will be subsidized.
” Government is continous process. I expect my successor to supass my achievement. The health centers, civic center, markets, boreholes should be continuously rehabilitated. He has too perform far more better than me.
” Its not only about building projects, but by quality representation and being able to take strong decisions. I have handered the batin but has not disappeared. I will always be available to assist.
High Chief Obiora ilouzio, UNIZIK ASUU Chairman, Comrade Stephen Ufoarah and Chief Chinedu Ifeachor in their seperate interview commended Ezeudu for his achievement as a lawmaker, stating that he has the capacity and potential to go far in politics.
