Man United: Rashford’s Brace, Super-Sub Sancho, Crushes Leicester City in 3-0 win

With a convincing 3-0 victory against visiting Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, Manchester United pulled to within five points of Premier League leaders Arsenal.

The result did not accurately reflect the game’s actual nature because the visitors controlled play from the start, and David de Gea of Spain made two outstanding saves to keep Kelechi Iheanacho and Harvey Barnes off the scoresheet.

The dependable Marcus Rashford gave the Red Devils the lead with an attempt that beat Danny Ward in goal as United went into the break with a slim lead.

The second period turned out to be an entirely different scenario from the first as Manchester United kept the ball better and made incursions into the Leicester City area. Marcus Rashford struck again in the 56th minute to double the advantage of the hosts albeit with the help of VAR, while substitute Jadon Sancho continued his own great patch since his return as he found the back of the net in the 62nd minute.

The result puts the Red Devils in confidence mode ahead of their UEFA Europa League second leg playoff clash against Spanish La Liga side FC Barcelona later this midweek
