A serious road traffic crash occurred on October 3, 2025, near Igbariam Junction on the Awka-Onitsha road.
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that the incident involved two vehicles: a wine-colored Mack tipper truck and a red HOWO tanker with the registration number KWR133YQ.
In a press release by SRC. Margaret Onabe, Sector Public Education Officer,
four individuals were involved in the crash, with one male adult sustaining bruises and being transported to Chira Hospital in Awkzu for medical attention. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.

The FRSC rescue team from RS5.33 Nteje is currently managing traffic and awaiting the removal of the vehicles to facilitate the free movement of other vehicles. The tanker, which was loaded with diesel, is undergoing transloading into another tanker.
