The Chairman of Njikoka Local Government Council, Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba has promised to
support the 2024/2025 UBE/SUBEB
Teacher Professional Development Program.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Hon. Ononiba made the pledge during his visit at the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB).
During the visit, the Mayor emphasized the critical importance of the teaching profession, urging the educators to stay steadfast in their commitment to shaping the future of the children entrusted to their care.
Ononiba recognized and appreciated the teachers’ dedication to their continuous professional growth, underscoring that their hard work would not only impact their pupils but also positively influence the entire society.
The Mayor reaffirmed his unwavering support for the education sector, vowing to do all within his capacity to empower teachers and provide them with the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their vital roles.
Ononiba who was accompanied by the Supervisory Councillor for Education, Hon. Dominic Okeke, and Mr. Ezechikwelu Sylvester Nnadozie, also visited Igwebuike Primary School, Abagana, where the school-based training was taking place.
