Military jets pound ISWAP fighters in convoy of boats near Lake Chad

The Nigerian military eliminated several Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters near Lake Chad.

The insurgents were moving in a convoy of at least ten boats when they were sighted following intelligence.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) deployed three jets to engage the terrorists.

The bombardments by the Operation Hadin Kai troops were executed at an Island in Tumbun near Lake Chad.

The aircraft shelled targets successively, killing scores as most of the terrorists could not take cover being off the land.

The military is carrying out reconnaissance of the general area.
