Minister of Youth Development Urge Anambra Corpers To Be Ambassadors Of Unity

The Minister of Youth and Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, on Tuesday, 7th October 2025, paid a brief but memorable visit to the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Olawande who was received by the NYSC Anambra State Coordinator Mrs. Pauline Ojisua, was in the state for an official project inspection.

The Youth Minister while interacting with corps members of the 2025 Batch B Stream two, said his trip would not have been complete without meeting the Corpers, describing them as “the pride and strength of the nation.”

Olawande commended the corps members for their discipline, patriotism, and dedication to national development through the NYSC scheme. He urged them to continue being exemplary ambassadors of unity and service wherever they are posted.

As a gesture of goodwill, he donated a cow to the corps members ahead of their upcoming camp carnival celebration on Saturday.

The visit concluded with three hearty cheers from the corps members in appreciation of the Minister’s visit and generosity as a Guard of Honour mounted at the Quarter Guard.

Hon. Olawande was accompanied by Hon Patrick Agha Mba, Anambra Commissioner For Youth Development.
