Mr P Accuses Estranged Twin Rudeboy of Exploiting Backlash to Attack Him

Singer Peter Okoye has accused his twin brother and former P-Square bandmate, Rudeboy, of using public criticism against him as another opportunity to damage his reputation.

The latest dispute erupted after Peter came under fire on social media over a comment questioning the usefulness of Nigerian languages. Responding to a fan online, the singer asked, “Who Naija language help?”, a remark that triggered widespread criticism.

As the backlash intensified, Rudeboy appeared to distance himself from the controversy through a series of posts on X, writing: “I’m a ‘nobody’. I repeat! A nobody! Without the culture, native, language.”

Peter, however, interpreted the posts as a veiled attack directed at him.

“But again, bro, you’re at it again, using this moment as another opportunity to pull me down,” Peter wrote on Wednesday.

Referring to an open letter he published two years ago, the singer alleged that his brother had consistently tried to turn public opinion against him.

“Doing everything possible to make people hate me will never work. Yes, people are dragging me over my statement, and that is okay. I accept that. But deliberately twisting my words and using petty tactics to damage my reputation says a lot.”

Peter further accused Rudeboy of repeatedly taking advantage of moments when he faces public criticism.

“I don’t know why you look for every opportunity to make derisive comments or jump on the bandwagon whenever I am being attacked.”

Recall that Peter explicitly declared online that he no longer considers his brothers family, citing betrayal, financial disputes, and lack of loyalty.

In April he also officially abandoned their shared twin birthday (November 18) and announced he will only celebrate his birthday on November 30 to completely separate his identity from Paul.

The “I Can’t Look Away” crooner initiated investigations into Northside Music regarding alleged misappropriation of P-Square funds involving Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
