The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Anambra State Chapter, has congratulated the Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP. Ikioye Orutugu, on his promotion to the rank of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, describing the elevation as well-deserved and a recognition of his exemplary service.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Chairperson of the association, Comrade Tochukwu Ifejika, NAWOJ said the promotion is a testament to Mr. Orutugu’s professionalism, exemplary leadership, dedication to duty, and unwavering commitment to excellence in policing and public service.
The association noted that the promotion reflects his years of distinguished service in the Nigeria Police Force and expressed confidence in his ability to excel in his new responsibilities.
NAWOJ Anambra prayed that God would grant the newly promoted AIG greater wisdom, strength, and success as he assumes his new office, expressing hope that his tenure would be marked by integrity, outstanding service, and greater accomplishments for the Nigeria Police Force and the nation.

The association also commended Mr. Orutugu for his steadfast commitment to justice, peace, and the protection of lives and property, wishing him a successful and impactful tenure as Assistant Inspector General of Police.
