As part of his efforts to reach all nooks and cranies of Anambra South Senatorial District, the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC Senatorial Candidate for Anambra South, High Chief Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo’s campaign train has visited Umuchu community, Aguata Council Area.
High Chief Onunkwo accompanied by his campaign team graced the Day 1 of Umuchu New Yam Festival (Iri Ji Umuchu) at the Crystal Palace of the traditional ruler of Umuchu, HRH Igwe Godson O. Ezechukwu who received him with open arms, and showered blessings on him.
Speaking, Onunkwo who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Seahorse Lubricants Ltd expressed delight to be in Umuchu, which he described as a strategic community in Anambra South Senatorial Zone, assuring that his interest to represent the zone is motivated by his desire to impact on the lives of his people in the areas of education, commerce and agriculture.
The Anambra South Senatorial Candidate, who is the Founder of Ebuka Onunkwo Foundation, whose philanthropic spirit had earned him numerous awards explained that going to the Senate will offer him a bigger platform to draw his people out of poverty and make life more meaningful for them.
The visit featured felicitations with the various groups in Umuchu who welcomed him joyfully and wished him well in the upcoming election.
