A total of 74 youths were provided with loans under the Macro Enterprises Enhancement Scheme (MEES) by National Directorate of Employment NDE in Kaduna State.
The beneficiaries were provided with 20,000 loans to start up businesses so as to be self employed.
Speaking at the disbursement ceremony for 74 Macro Enterprises Enhancement Scheme (MEES) beneficiaries, the NDE State Coordinator, Ahmad Jibrin Kawure, advised the beneficiaries to use the loans provided to them judiciously.
According to him, the scheme aimed at assisting youths that are already in business but lack capital to start up.
He said the beneficiaries are expected to pay back the loan in a year.
Kawure also said that the beneficiaries were selected from various local government areas of the state.
