NDLEA Seizes 60.1 Tons Of Cannabis, Destroys 40 Farms In Edo State

The Edo Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NELEA) has disclosed that the agency has seized 60.1 tons of cannabis sativa and other drugs between January and September 2023.

The agency also disclosed that it destroyed 40 cannabis farms in the state within the period under review.

The state NDLEA Assistant Commander in charge of Media and  Advocacy, Ondotimi Bebetu, disclosed this in a chat with City & Crime.

“The success rate in drug-fighting in Edo State is on the high side. We have seized 60.1 tons of cannabis sativa and other variants of drugs out of circulation in the state.

“We also go to the farms where cannabis are cultivated and destroyed them. So far, we have destroyed 40 cannabis farms that spread across the three senatorial districts of the state
