Presidential Interim Executive Committee of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Anambra State Chapter has been inaugurated to pilot the affairs of the chapter for the next six months.
Members of the executives are Dr Ngozi Ulogu, Chairman; Dr Nelson Omenugha, Vice Chairman; Dr Chinedu Ekweonu, Secretary; Dumaka Henry Ekemezie, Asst Secretary/ICT Officer; Comrade Ogemdi Ozoemenam, Public Relations Officer; CSP Josephine Ihunwo, Welfare Officer; Mrs Nonye Nwokoye, Financial Secretary; Chinenye Anyakora, Treasurer; Chinyere Fessy Okoye, Auditor; Prof Angela Nwanmuo, Ex-Officio 1; Prof Kate Omenugha, Council Member, ex-Officio 2 and Prof Cornelius Ukwueze, ex-Officio 3.
The 12-man committee is to serve for a period of six or maximum of one year within when to, among other things, conduct a credible chapter election devoid of ranchor.
Inaugurating the committee, the President and Chairman of Council NIPR, Dr Ike Neliaku charged them to hit the ground running to achieve the overall objectives of the chapter.
“If after one year they failed to perform, they will refund us one year.”
Dr Ahmad Sajoh, fnipr, Council Member and Chairman, Chapter Support and Empowerment NIPR administered the oath of office to the new Anambra executives.
In her acceptance speech, the Chairman of the Presidential Committee Dr Ulogu promised to deliver on her mandate for the overall good and sustained growth and visibility of Anambra Chapter of NIPR.
She appreciated Mr President for the honour done her to serve in the Presidential Committee.
In a vote of thanks, Chief Uche Udedibia, who has been a fellow of the institute for 26 years, described this AGM as the best had by the Chapter since the old Anambra State and asked the newly inaugurated committee to build on the successes of the 2026 AGM and Summit for a better outing next time
Highpoint of the event was the automatic presidential ticket granted to members of the 2026 AGM/Summit Committee to participate in the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) being hosted by NIPR from 15th—21st November, 2026 at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja and other designated other designated venues.###
