Nimo Community Holds NEC Meeting As PG Re-assures Of Quality, Inclusive Administration

* Upgrading of Oye Nimo market is my priority : PG reveals

Nimo Town Development Union (NTDU), a community in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra on Saturday held its first National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the present administration.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the Nimo President General (PG) Engr. Dan Zeelunjo Anakpe in his opening remark thanked everyone present for their support so far towards his administration.

The PG who was elected on January 2024 stated that his victory is for ndi Nimo and that since he took over office, his team has been working so hard to deliver on their promises.

He emphasized on the fact that the present administration is running an open door administration as promised in his campaign, urging all aggrieved members of the community to bury their hachet and join hands in moving the community forward, promising to carry everyone along.

” My administration is running an all inclusive government and i call on all to join hands together towards achieving a lasting peace and sustainable development in Nimo. This is achievable only when their is peace and tranquility.

“Security has been a general concern to this administration and we are doing everything possible to improve and have a sustainable security network.

Giving account of his stewardship so far, the PG listed the achievements of his administration and also gave update on environmental sanitation, boundary disputes, indescrimate display of aja (sacrifice), NTDU Youth Wing bye law, infrastructural development, peace committee report, revenue generation, security, amongst others.

Ichie Jones Akpu

Former PG of Nimo Ichie Jones Akpu in an exclusive interview with ANN encouraged the present administration of the community to remain focused. He called for peace and unity of purpose.

Barrister Sunday Mmagu

Newly appointed legal adviser of NTDU, Barrister Calistus Chikelue Sunday Mmagu in an interview expressed gratitude to Nimo NEC for adopting his recommendation, stating that its a call to service.

“Being the legal adviser of a big town like Nimo is a privilege and am happy that am being giving an opportunity to serve my people.

“With my position as a barrister and lawyer, i will do my best to see that everything legally and due process is followed in taking any legal position. My duty is to advice NTDU to do things the right way”.

Onyeka Okeke (Ide Agbalanze)

On his part, Mr. Onyeka Okeke (Ide Agbalanze) while speaking said election has come and gone and an executive has emerged.

“We have to join hands and support this administration. I urge all aggrieved members of the community to forget about the past and work towards a better future for Nimo.

Hon. George Ozodinaobi

The member representing Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha Federal Constituency, Hon. George Ozodinaobi in his speech, urged the executive of NTDU to live up to the expectations of the people through attracting devidends of democracy to the community.

The lawmaker encouraged the present. NTDU administration to keep the flag flying stating that peace and unity are an essential tools for progress.

He promised ndi Nimo that as their representative at the green chambers, he will not disappoint the confidence reposed on him.
