In an interview with the chairman of ASUU Unizik chapter Dr. Steven Ufoaroh yesterday.
He expressed that the body of ASUU Unizik chapter joined the NLC protest to make known to the world that universities have been closed down for five months as at the time of filing this report.
He told Angel Network News that because the federal government refused to reach out to the needs and demands of public University campuses, the system have been shot down for five months.
He stressed that this protest act by NLC and body of ASUU Unizik chapter is not all about ASUU but is about saving Nigeria public University.
He said that the protest act is about Nigerians taking back their country,
Nigerians fighting for their right.
Insisting that the education system in Nigeria should be funded and the workers in Nigeria University system should be paid their salaries and all their entitlement.
He explained that NLC is out to support the struggles of ASUU because all their children both with the children of NLC members were at home all this while.
