The Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Hon. Echezona Anazodo, has embarked on road inspection tour, alongside some state government Officials to assess the condition of roads in Nnewi.

Anazodo accompanied by his team, to assess the dire state of the road network demonstrates his dedication to addressing Nnewi North’s pressing issues, particularly the poor condition of roads, which has been a major concern for residents and commuters alike.
The inspection tour aims to identify damaged roads and develop a plan for rehabilitation and reconstruction.
Hon. Anazodo noted that Nnewi being one of the commercial and industrial city in Anambra State, has been experiencing rapid growth and urbanization under Governor Soludo’s administration, he noted that infrastructural development is crucial to its economic and social progress.
During the tour, Hon. Anazodo reaffirmed his commitment to creating a seamless transportation system with zero potholes, prioritizing the needs of Ndi Nnewi. He emphasized that his administration will tackle damaged roads and drainages head-on, focusing on Nnewi North’s development.
The roads inspected by the Chairman includes; Nkwo to Nkwo road, a vital route connecting key areas of Nnewi.
Owerri road, a major highway facilitating trade and commerce. Igwe Orizu road, named after the revered traditional ruler, Igwe Kenneth Orizu III.
Some of the officials who inspected the roads includes the Deputy Mayor Nnewi North, Hon. Mrs. Ijeoma Okoli, the Speaker of the Council, Hon. Chijioke Nwizugbe, and Hon. Ifebi Uloma, amongst others.
