The transition committee chairman of Nnewi South Local Government Area, Hon. Ikenna Aniagboso has commended Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for creating a peaceful environment for businesses and other private investments to strive in the Anambra.
He made this disclosure at the two days free medical mission put together by Chairman Chisco Group And Chairman Chidi Anyaegbu Foundation, Chief Dr. Chidi Anyaegbu and Living Hope Medical Center for the people of Amichi in Nnewi South Local Government Area.
The two days free medical outreach which is geared towards promoting and ensuring good health for the residents was officially Flag-off at Pat-Angelina Hospital, Umudim Amichi in Nnewi South Council Area.
Speaking during the commencement of the medical exercise, the transition committee chairman, Nnewi South Local Government Area, Hon. Ikenna Aniagboso commended Mr. Chidi for always making the health and wellness of the people of Amichi a topmost priority and especially for working so hard to ensure that this programme was executed.
He insisted that utilization of healthcare facilities for services remains the right thing to do and should be enjoyed by all.
He, however, commended Gov Soludo for his keen interest in the Health Sector whiling noting that a healthy Nation is a result of healthy family so it is better we prevent these diseases than curing them, he added”.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for health, Dr. Afam Obidike assured the residents of government’s commitment towards eradicating every vaccine-preventable disease, supporting and promoting the health and well being of her citizenry as well as continued fight against common causes of deaths in Pregnant Women and Children.
Dr. Afam further advised them to frequently attend healthcare facilities at the suspect of good healthy living He also reassured that the present administration will continue to encourage and support sure programmes that enhances the wellbeing of Ndi Anambra.
Appreciating, Mrs. Chinwe Isi affirmed that her joy knows no bound as she successfully underwent a eye surgery. She thanked the chairman of the foundation for his goodwill towards the people and pray that will continue to prosper him in all his endeavours.
On his part, the Chairman Chisco Group And Chairman Chidi Anyaegbu Foundation, Chief Dr. Chidi Anyaegbu express his delight with the turnout of the program. He said he got the challenge to give back to the society from his colleague who is already 20years in the practice of philanthropic medical services. He however promise to continue to engage such exercise to reduce health challenges in his constituency.
He further disclosed that the foundation has already begun to inspire similar groups and foundations even as they are working on sustaining the project.
Other top government functionaries who attended the function are, the Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Felix Odumegwu and his Transport counterpart, Dr. Patricia Igwebuike and member representing Nnewi South in the 7th assembly, Hon. Sonny Ozobialu amongst others.
