Adesua Etomi-Wellington Shares Harrowing Health Crisis During June UK Ministry Trip: “I Could Have Lost My Life.”
Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has revealed that she endured a life-threatening health challenge in June that necessitated an unplanned surgery while she was in the United Kingdom with her husband, singer Banky W, and their two sons.
The acclaimed actress took to Instagram on Sunday to share the frightening ordeal, describing it as one of the toughest moments of her life and expressing profound gratitude for her survival.
Etomi-Wellington explained that the incident occurred while the family was in the UK for two ministry speaking engagements in London and Manchester. She stressed the delicate nature of the situation, indicating that even a minor change in events could have been fatal.
”I could have lost my life in June of this year,” the actress wrote. “I went through a horrific incident that landed me in unplanned surgery. The surgery was ironically the least dramatic part of what I went through.”
The mother of two reflected on the narrow escape, attributing her survival to divine intervention. “If even one single detail of that day were different, I wouldn’t be here today. I shudder when I think about it,” she stated, adding, “Like a map, I can literally look back over that day and trace how His hands were all over that situation. There is nothing anyone can tell me, God is real!”
Etomi-Wellington, known for her role in The Wedding Party, concluded her emotional message by urging her followers toward greater compassion: “Let’s be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I will never take another day for granted. Neither should you.”
