NPFL: Ilechukwu Give Reasons Enugu Rangers Failed To Defeat Kastina United

It was a bloodless war at the Awka City Stadium as match-day nine of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) between Enugu Rangers and Kastina United ended without a goal.

ANN reports that the Coach Fidelise Ilechukwu turtored side failed to win for the first time at home this season as they could not convert their chances. 

The defence of Katsina United were cordinated enough to stop the flying antelopes from putting the ball behind the net.

Speaking with reporters after the game, Enugu Rangers Coach Fidelise Ilechukwu said his boys gave their best and deserved a better result.

“Kastina United changed their formation in todays game. They played 4-5-1. We did all we could to win but couldn’t because of hardluck. 

” We dominated the game and we deserved a better result, but this is football for you. .

“Our next game against Abia Warriors will be a difficult one but we must push harder”. Ilochukwu stated 

Katstin United coach Tony Bolus while speaking with reporters commended the performance of his team stating that they came to pick the three miximum point but they are leaving with one point. 

Coach Bolus who was an assistant Coach in Enugu Rangers in 2016 maintained that there is still room for improvement and that they are going to work on their mistakes.

Rangers are currently fifth at the table with fifteen point while Katsina United are tenth with twelve point.

Enugu Rangers next game will be away, on Sunday 26 November against Abia Warriors before hosting Rivers United on the 3rd of December.
