Defending champions Enugu Rangers maintained their upward trajectory in the 2026/27 Euromatch Nigeria Premier Football League with a 4-2 away victory over Kun Khalifat on Matchday 4, while nine-time title holders Enyimba suffered another defeat.
Rangers fell behind when Preye Seikorowei put Kun Khalifat ahead in the 40th minute at the Enyimba Stadium, but the champions responded emphatically. Temitope Folarin equalised, Waheed Adebayo restored the lead before half-time, and Chimobi Igwilo scored twice after the break — in the 66th minute and stoppage time — to seal the 4-2 win. Ayuba Umar pulled one back for the hosts in the 84th minute.
The result marked Rangers’ second consecutive league victory following their 2-1 success against Nasarawa United earlier in the week.
Enyimba’s difficult start to the campaign continued as they were beaten 1-0 at home by newly promoted Inter Lagos. Ezekiel Moses scored the only goal of the match in the 18th minute, leaving the Aba side still searching for their first win after four matches despite dominant statistics display of 67% possession, 20 shots against 4 (5 on target against 2), 12 corner kickers against 1.

Ahmed Musa’s Kano Pilllars Ruined Doma United’s Unbeaten Start
Doma United’s perfect record of three straight victories was ended in emphatic fashion by Kano Pillars, who ran out 4-1 winners in Kano. Abdullahi Musa and Rabiu Ali put the hosts 2-0 up by the 27th minute. Sadiq Rilwan reduced the deficit for Doma after the break, but Ahmed Musa and Nasiru Salihu added further goals late on to complete the victory.
Elsewhere, Warri Wolves edged Kwara United 1-0 thanks to an eighth-minute strike by Ejike Ezekiel. Abia Warriors claimed a dramatic 2-0 away win at Sporting Lagos with late goals from Ikoi Etta and Emeka Obioma. Plateau United came from behind to defeat Shooting Stars 3-1 in Jos, while Katsina United beat Niger Tornadoes 1-0 and Ranchers Bees overcame Bendel Insurance 2-1. Ikorodu City and Barau FC played out a goalless draw, and Nasarawa United shared the points with Rivers United in a 1-1 stalemate.
Matchday 4 has reshaped the early-season picture, with Rangers building momentum, Enyimba still without a win and Doma United’s unbeaten start brought to an abrupt end.
