NSCDC Collaborates With Electronics Development Institute On Security In Anambra

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command has expressed its desire to enter into a strategic partnership with the Electronics Development Institute (ELDI) under the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure ( NASENI) to enhance security and protection of critical infrastructure in the state.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the partnership was formalized on Wednesday 26, June 2024 when the State Commandant, Comdt. Maku Olatunde received on a courtesy visit the management of the Institute led by the Acting Managing Director, Engr. Dr. Ogungberno Oluwaseyi.

Olatunde while speaking said the collaboration aims to leverage ELDI’s expertise in electronics and technology to improve NSCDC’s surveillance and response capabilities, particularly in the areas of Counter-terrorism, Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Protection and Intelligence gathering.

The collaboration will involve joint training programs, technology sharing, and strategic planning to address emerging security threats in the state.

The visit provided the State Commandant, Comdt. Maku Olatunde, an opportunity to exchange ideas, share best practices and explore ways in which both agencies can work together to achieve mutual goals.
