NSCDC Foils Bunkering Attempt, Arrests Four Suspects in Lagos

The Lagos State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended four suspects for attempting to vandalise the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) pipeline in Idimu Local Council Development Area, Baruwa, Alimosho, Lagos.

The suspects were arrested at about 2:33 a.m., on Thursday, January 18, by the anti-vandalism squad of the corps.

They were caught with a generator, puncher, a Suzuki mini bus with number plate KRD 572 YH, kegs, and other items.

Parading the suspects at the NSCDC headquarters in Ikeja, the Commandant, Sunday Adedotun Keshinro, said the suspects planned to move the stolen petroleum via kegs as the location of the pipeline was not motorable.

Keshinro, who promised to apprehend other suspects at large, commended residents of pipeline areas for their cooperation.
