NUJ Anambra State Council Visits Seahorse Lubricant Industries

 

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council, as part of activities marking its annual Press Week, paid a courtesy and facility visit to Seahorse Lubricant Industries, a leading indigenous manufacturing company owned by renowned businessman and philanthropist, Chief Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo.

The visit provided members of the NUJ Anambra State Council with an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of the company’s operations, production processes and contributions to the state’s industrial and economic development.

Receiving the NUJ delegation, Chief Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo expressed appreciation for the visit and highlighted the importance of collaboration between the media and the private sector in promoting enterprise, innovation and development.

The journalists were taken on a guided tour of the facility, where they observed various stages of production and gained insight into the systems and investments behind the company’s operations.

The NUJ chairman Odogwu Emeka Odogwu PhD, commended Chief Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo for investing in indigenous enterprise and creating opportunities that contribute to employment generation and economic growth in Anambra State.

The visit further underscored the role of the media beyond news reporting—as a vital partner in documenting, promoting and projecting the achievements of individuals and organisations contributing meaningfully to society.

The engagement formed part of the NUJ Anambra State Council’s Press Week activities, which bring journalists together to reflect on the profession, celebrate service and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders across the state.
