Nwafor Calls On Collective Effort In Tackling Insecurity As Orumba North Holds Peace And Security Summit

The Chairman of Orumba North Local Government Area, Captain Casmir Nwafor (Rtd), has called on political and security stakeholders, traditional rulers, Presidents-General, religious bodies as well as affluent citizens of Orumba North to join hands with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration in fighting insecurity.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
speaking during the 2025 Orumba North Peace and Security Summit, Nwafor said all hands must be on deck in fishing out miscreants. He called on all to collaborate with security agencies in the area to ensure adequate security of life and property.

The Mayor revealed that plans are on ground to increase the number of the local vigilante groups as well as install CCTV observation posts in Orumba North Council Area to enhance security.

Nwafor assured that his administration will invest heavily in agriculture, education, sports, youth and women empowerment, adding that the investments will not only enhance security, but also pave the way for sustainable development in Orumba North.

A keynote speaker, Brigadier-General Arinze Ebenebe (Rtd), who spoke on the theme, “Community Policing: A Typical Military Barracks Community”, stressed the need for community policing with the objective to uphold and enforce the laws within their jurisdiction for the purposes of safeguarding people and property.

In there remarks, the Chief of Staff to Governor Soludo, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi as well as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Security, Prince Ken Emeakayi harped on the need for support to Governor Soludo, who they said, has made security in the State better than he met it when he assumed office.
