Nwankwo Reaffirms Confidence In Soludo’s Security Efforts

…Warns against politicizing insecurity

The Senatorial Candidate for Ànambra Central Zone, on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Hon Dozie Nwankwo has warned against making political capital out of the fatal attack on the convoy of the Chief of Staff (CoS) of the Anambra State Government, Ben Nwankwo.

Chief Nwankwo reaffirmed his confidence in the security architecture of Anambra State as put down by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, expressing satisfaction that before the latest incident Anambra had recorded zero crime of such magnitude.

Nwankwo, a well known philanthropist,
while reacting over the last week attack
along Awa-Ufuma Road, which cost the lives of two police escorts and two aides, described it as an unfortunate incident that could happen to anyone anywhere in the world.

In a press statement, Nwankwo, a former House of Representatives member that represented Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha Federal Constituency, said any loss of human life was always a minus to humanity and not what anyone would use to score what he described as cheap political points, even as he expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased.

“Humanity has been depreciated by the killing of those people. They came from families and were their bread winners. They however sadly died in active service and I convey my deepest condolences to their grieving families,” the former lawmaker stated.

Nwankwo however warned against making political capital out of what he described as the sad event, noting that even in America, perceived as the world’s most powerful country, violent crimes were still committed.

The APGA Senatorial Candidate called on ndi Anambra to join hands with the governor and security agencies in fighting crime, which, he said, was everybody’s job.

“As our governor would say, if you see something, say something. The government and security agencies are neither spirits nor magicians who can know everything.

“The task of securing our state from hoodlums is everyone’s job and once we see it this way, the job of the government and security agencies becomes easier,” Nwankwo stated.
