The Senator representing Anambra North senatorial district Dr. Tony Nwoye has donated twenty thousand pieces of six yards of Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) and Mary Sumner uniforms
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the recipients were members of CWO from Onitsha Archdiocese, Aguleri Diocese, Diocese on the Niger, Ogbaru , Niger West, and Mbammili Dioceses of the Anglican communion.
Senator Nwoye also donated a Toyota car to a friend of his, Chief Ossy Chinwuba, in appreciation for his steadfastness over the years.
Handing over the bale of the wrappers Senator Nwoye said he decided to gift mothers because they are special and important breed, people who make all the difference in the society.
The Federal Lawmaker while assuring that the gesture was not politically motivated as he did not make any promise to any denomination, urged mothers to stand up for their roles of nurturing Godly children who will make the society a better place, decried the high rate of Kidnapping and other societal ills which he said were taboo in igbo land before now.
Receiving the wrappers, the Director CWO, Onitsha Archdiocese, Mrs. Ngozi Nwanosike the Secretary CWO Aguleri Diocese, Mrs Angela Ejike representative of Christian mothers from Ogbaru Diocese, Mrs Uche Igwebuike prayed for senator Nwoye, even as they thanked him for the love he showed them.
