NYSC Swears-In 1,500 Corps Members Deployed To Anambra

National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) has swore in 1,500 corps members of the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1 set, deployed to Anambra for the one-year mandatory national service.

The oath-taking ceremony was performed by the State Chief Judge, Justice O. M. Anyachebelu, represented by Justice A.O Okoma.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the State Coordinator, Mrs Pauline Ojisua,
while speaking during the swearing-in ceremony at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, Awka South local government area of the State, said that the corps members comprised 616 males and 884 females, respectively.

According to Ojisua, the Orientation course marks the foundation of the corps members’ service year.

Over the next three weeks, participants will undergo a structured programme designed to instill discipline, patriotism, teamwork, and leadership skills necessary for nation-building.

“All camp facilities and programmes are fully in place to ensure a smooth and impactful orientation experience.

“All NYSC officials, security agencies, medical teams, and collaborating partners have also been fully mobilized to ensure effective administration, welfare, and security throughout the programme.

“As you are sworn in today, I urge you, dear prospective corps members, to obey all existing laws, NYSC regulations, and security directives and to conduct yourselves as responsible ambassadors of your families, institutions, and the nation.

Ojisua, appreciate the state governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, for the consistent support the NYSC enjoys in Anambra. She also commended all camp officials, partners, and the media for their dedication.

In his address, Governor Chukwuma Soludo represented by Anambra Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Patrick Aghamba, urged the corps members to endeavour to render dedicated service to the state and the nation at large.

The governor, equally commended the NYSC leadership at both national and state levels, especially the coordinator, Mrs Ojisua, and her team for their dedication and professionalism.

Soludo noted that his administration remains committed to continuous improvement of the State Orientation Camp’s facilities to ensure a safe, serene, and enabling environment for corps members.
