Oba Femi Shrugs Off Lesnar Beating, Sets Sights on King of the Ring Glory

Nigerian-born WWE star Oba Femi has brushed aside his heavy defeat to Brock Lesnar at Clash in Italy, declaring himself still standing and targeting victory in the ongoing King of the Ring tournament.

Femi made the comments on Monday Night RAW from the Inalpi Arena, hours after Lesnar pinned him following seven F-5s in their brutal rematch on Sunday.

After advancing past Penta, Solo Sikoa and Carmelo Hayes in a Fatal 4-Way King of the Ring first-round match, Femi grabbed the microphone to address the loss. He recalled Lesnar questioning whether he could take a beating before unleashing the onslaught.

“After all of that, I’m still standing. I’m still winning,” Femi said. “Lesnar gave me his best shot but he still couldn’t get rid of me.”

The former NXT Champion vowed to win the King of the Ring, which offers a world title shot at SummerSlam, and warned Lesnar that their rivalry — now tied at 1-1 — is far from over.

“I will see him soon,” he added.

Femi overcame interference from Talla Tonga during his RAW victory, finishing Solo Sikoa with a Fall From Grace to progress in the tournament. The King of the Ring finals are scheduled for Night of Champions on June 27 in Saudi Arabia.
