WWE superstar Roman Reigns has brushed off a bold challenge from rising star Oba Femi, warning the newcomer that he still has much to prove before stepping up to the “Greatest of All Time.”
The tense exchange occurred on Saturday night after Oba Femi’s impressive performance, with Reigns making a surprise appearance that triggered loud chants from the crowd of “Oba is going to kill you.”
Femi, clearly energised by the moment, declared his ambitions in a fiery promo. “I think tomorrow is a celebration. I think in the coming weeks is the establishment of a new main event player. And I think at the end of the year, the OTC can get some!” he said, referring to Reigns’ “OTC” (On This Day) moniker.
Reigns, the dominant Tribal Chief and former undisputed WWE Universal Champion, responded with characteristic confidence, acknowledging Femi’s big night while putting him firmly in his place.
“Oba had a big night. Oba, you gonna kill me? You still seem a little fresh in this business. You did a big thing tonight, but I’ve done that many times,” Reigns said.
He added pointedly: “I did that with the title on the line. Let’s see how you do in the Summer, then we’ll see if you can step to the Greatest of All Time.”
The confrontation has heightened anticipation for a potential future clash between the veteran leader of The Bloodline and the fast-rising Nigerian-born powerhouse Oba Femi, who has quickly gained attention for his athleticism and charisma since joining the main roster.
Fans reacted with excitement online, with many interpreting Reigns’ remarks as both a warning and an indirect invitation for Femi to earn his shot through consistent performance in the coming months.
The segment capped a night of high drama at WrestleMania, further fuelling speculation that Oba Femi could emerge as one of WWE’s next major main-event stars by the end of 2026.
Neither wrestler has confirmed any scheduled match, but industry observers expect the storyline to build significantly through the summer leading into major pay-per-view events.
