Old Baptist Boys High School, Abeokuta student and past teachers squared off in a novelty game.
In a football novelty match conducted on Monday, Baptist Boys High School (BBHS), Abeokuta’s football squad was guided by former president Olusegun Obasanjo as part of celebrations for the school’s 100th anniversary.
The event’s main draw for spectators, many of whom are also former students of the school, was Mr. Obasanjo, a former student of the institution.
In the novelty match which pitted old students of the college against former teachers of the school, the former president scored a hattrick to end it 3-0 in favour of his side.
Notable old students in the game include Bukola Olopade, a former Sports Commissioner in Ogun State; and Hakeem Akintunde, who is the Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) in the state.
The former president scored a hat-trick to help his team win the novelty match 3-0. The match pitted former college students against former teachers.
In the game, notable alumni include Hakeem Akintunde, the state’s chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), and Bukola Olopade, a former sports commissioner in Ogun State.
